Regular Checkups
At your six-month checkup, we’ll update your dental records and, if necessary, take X-rays. Dr. Harris will talk with you about your concerns, so be sure to ask questions. If you experience dental pain, or if you grind your teeth, let Dr. Harris know. He’ll use our laser cavity detection system, DIAGNOdent, to inspect your teeth for decay or demineralization (which leads to decay). In addition, he’ll visually inspect your teeth, gums, head, neck, and occlusion (how upper and lower teeth fit together). With photos and data gathered in the exam, Dr. Harris can determine whether you need restorative dental work.
He’ll show you his findings and explain options for treatment. Again, your questions are always welcome. The more you understand about your condition and options, the more prepared you’ll be to make wise decisions for care. Don’t let fear or stress keep you from a healthy smile. Dr. Harris can provide nitrous oxide or oral sedation for optimal comfort and peace of mind.
