Dr. Harris offers strong, effective – yet totally safe – professional teeth whitening to turn back the clock and give your smile a pearly gleam.
Unlike over-the-counter whitening products, professional teeth whitening contains a higher concentration of active ingredient for a more powerful effect. We offer two types of teeth whitening: Zoom! Whitening for immediate results and home whitening for patients who prefer a more gradual change.
Zoom! is perfect if you have a special event coming up – like a wedding, photo shoot, or job interview. In just one appointment – about an hour – Dr. Harris will deliver a dazzling smile, up to eight shades brighter. Zoom! consists of a gel that we place onto teeth, then activate with a soft, cool light. Repeated exposure to this special light causes a chemical reaction that literally lifts stains from teeth. You’ll look younger and more vibrant after a single Zoom! session.
For home whitening, we’ll provide you with custom-fitted mouth trays to hold potent bleaching gel against your teeth. These trays also keep saliva from diluting the gel. Usually, Dr. Harris recommends patients whiten teeth for about an hour each evening, over the course of two weeks, to reach optimal brightness. Some patients notice results after the first use, with a dramatic difference at the end of initial treatment. Be sure to keep your trays! You can touch-up your smile any time it begins to tarnish. If you run out of bleaching gel, simply call our office to order a refill.
